About Quantified Ventures and the QV Climate Finance Group
Quantified Ventures works with pioneering organizations to design, capitalize, and scale investible solutions that improve the wellbeing of people and planet. We catalyze impact for the greater good by working between the siloes of data, finance, innovation, partnerships, and policy to construct bold solutions that produce verified outcomes to address the most pressing climate and social challenges facing communities. Quantified Ventures is a certified B Corporation and operates two complimentary sectors: Climate Finance and Health and Human Services.

Our Climate Finance group partners with communities; federal, state, and local governments; corporations; philanthropy, and non-profit organizations from all sectors to deliver clean water, climate mitigation, and community resilience solutions to improve the wellbeing of people and planet. Our work is centered around four solutions: Outdoor Recreation, Green Banks and Resilience, Natural Climate Solutions, and Community Finance. In all, we focus on solving systems-level problems and accelerating climate smart investments through partnership, finance, and policy innovation.

Position Overview
QV’s Climate Finance group is looking for an Associate Director with a passion for accelerating climate projects at the nexus of community health, equity, finance, and resilience. This is a rare opportunity to support the development of a new solution area while delivering local impact through QV’s diverse clients and partnerships.

This position will support multiple QV projects across the Green Bank and Resilience, Natural Climate Solutions, and Community Finance solutions. Examples include accessing historic amounts of federal funding, developing innovative financing approaches, and building a long-term project pipeline.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have a strong passion for working with communities and organizations to develop and implement solutions which address the climate crisis.
  • Understand and have experience in the climate finance and conservation sectors.
  • Bring deep experience in project development and a track record of successfully sourcing a project pipeline across multiple stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate a track record of stakeholder engagement and collaborative program development.
  • Embrace a continuous learning culture and openness to innovation and problem solving through ambiguity.
  • Enjoy going deep into the weeds to identify how funding and financing programs work and have the capacity to translate “big picture” implications for how to build a blended capital stack.
  • Enjoy working directly with diverse communities and stakeholders to understand and address unique project challenges.

Position Responsibilities

  • Support engagement with communities and project partners, in collaboration with QV team members, to identify and deliver a set scope of work.
  • Collaborate with QV team members to serve as thought leaders on developing new and innovative financing approaches for nature-based solutions and climate finance mechanisms.
  • Assist with the development of new and innovative revenue streams for climate resilience projects.
  • Collaborate across the Climate Finance team in analyzing key loan structures and financial planning for potential infrastructure projects.
  • Support municipal and state partners and research potential state and federal infrastructure grant programs.
  • Work closely with the Climate Finance Team on a broad range of projects and business development opportunities.
  • Ability to deliver strong, high quality work to QV clients that leads to continued, deepened, ongoing partnerships.

Qualifications
Quantified Ventures is a creative, supportive, and collaborative environment. We seek candidates with the following skills and qualifications:

  • Entrepreneurial experience starting up new programs or initiatives
  • Knowledge across multiple disciplines (e.g., finance, law, and policy) and environmental infrastructure (e.g., land conservation, agriculture, water)
  • Passion for advancing the field of climate finance by developing innovative funding and financing models, as well as desire to build a more equitable environmental future for communities
  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative and fast paced team environment
  • Experience designing and leading programs with diverse stakeholders
  • Experience managing projects and working across departments is preferred
  • Strong presentation and public speaking skills
  • Strong writing, research, and analytical skills

Required Education and Expertise

  • A bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering, economics, political science, business administration, or related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in project development or technical assistance with key project stakeholders (public or private sector) or experience in similar public funding programs
  • Experience working with and facilitating collaborative outcomes with various stakeholder groups in environmental infrastructure design and project development

If you're excited about this role and our mission, we encourage you to apply even if you don't believe you meet every single requirement or qualification in the job descriptions. We encourage members of traditionally underrepresented communities to apply, including women, people of color, LGBTQ+ individuals, and people with disabilities.

Position Location Requirements

Salary and Benefits
This position has a salary range of $100,000-$135,000 per year. Salary will be commensurate with experience, education, and applicability to the QV mission.
