B Corp Consultant job in Richmond

Do you love B Corps? Cultivating Capital is a Certified B Corp seeking to hire a B Corp Consultant to join our team and deliver top-notch services to our clients. You will join a small remote team that works diligently to help purpose-driven businesses implement practices to improve their social and environmental performance as they certify or recertify as B Corps. 

This position is ideal for someone who wants to contribute to the growth of the B Corp movement, enjoys thinking creatively about how to help businesses improve their impact, and is not afraid to dive into spreadsheets. We will provide full training to the right candidate who can balance strategic thinking with attention to detail.

This is a full-time, remote position earning $60,000 annually. Cultivating Capital offers flexible hours, a 32-35 hour work week (which can be worked across either 4 or 5 days), unlimited PTO, profit-sharing bonuses, and a co-created benefits package.  

Responsibilities

• Manage client projects & communications, set and meet deadlines, and assign and track tasks

• Meet with clients during standard business hours to assist them with completing the B Impact Assessment, implementing improvements, gathering documentation, and navigating the verification process

• Provide strategic and creative guidance to clients to help them improve their business practices using the B Corp performance standards

• Onboard new clients and set them up for a successful consulting engagement

• Maintain and develop content for Cultivating Capital’s proprietary B Impact Assessment Knowledge Base

• Develop new resources to support clients with implementing impactful practices

• Identify ways to optimize, streamline, and automate service delivery processes

• Host group coaching calls and Learning Sessions via Zoom

• Participate in regular team meetings to review company performance, share progress on team and individual initiatives, resolve work issues, and engage in planning & reflection activities

• Contribute to team-level initiatives that advance Cultivating Capital’s mission, vision, and values in areas that may include but are not limited to, internal and external communications, community building, and improving impact for ourselves and others

Skills & Qualifications

• Proven ability to balance big picture objectives (strategic thinking) with attention to detail (tactical execution)
• Proven ability to work independently, solve problems creatively, communicate effectively, and follow through on commitments
• Proven ability to effectively prioritize tasks and projects and develop clear plans for completing work in a timely manner
• Proven ability to juggle multiple projects in a dynamic environment
  Proven ability and willingness to learn new skills, in addition to sharing your own skills and knowledge with others
• Friendly and professional attitude, especially when communicating with clients and team members
• Passion for and knowledge about the B Corp movement, sustainability, and social impact
• Comfort with working primarily online with access to reliable internet
• Nice to have but not required: experience with the B Impact Assessment, Google Workspace, Basecamp project management software, Zoom, Mighty Networks, the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS), and teal organizations
